when you open to the first page of a text book and on the bottom of the page it says "go to pg __" then you go to that page and it says "go to pg __" you do that like 9 more times then they leave you a nasty but funny message like "oh your mom is good in bed" do you remember doing that or is it just me..

ha i never wrote it in a text book but today i found a spanish text book that had one in it. my end message was "ha ha you did this for nuttin" fun

haha yes! i always felt stupid doing it though, so i would flip through the pages as if i was looking for the page we were discusing in class to make it look like i was focusing. but i just had to find out what was on that page!

I never did that myself, but I saw several. The first time I recall seeing it was, in fact, at a restaraunt. This restaraunt in my area had all the menus glued in the front of old books, and my parents took me there for a special occasion. In the front, it told us to go to another page. Then it said,"There is no menu back here, dummy. Go to page...." And on that page, it said,"You're dumber than I thought."
My mom saw it first, and she thought it was so funny, she showed it to me. Apparently, she'd never seen it before that, either.

Things that were similar . For example, the previous user of my history book had drawn and written in little balloon captions over Pres. Washington's head crossing the Delaware and other funny things.

lol! i am in middle school right now. i have never done it myself, but my friends have. i love reading those. one time though i got to the last page and it had my name, number, and a very nasty saying....not repeating it.

I didn't write any, but yes good memory...I would have never remembered that hadn't you mentioned it. Those were funny, that's what happens when kids get bored. LOL

i always do that! Its one of those things that you know are gonna turn out real stupid, but your curiosity (and possibly boredom) make you go for it anyway.
The better question is: have you ever been the one that wrote that stuff in the textbook???
