Im in the same situation, but your amount isnt real high. I know people that have higher (much higher). My ex has been married for years. It has nothing to do with it. Maybe your wife should get a full time job. It's really the two of you that have the problem.

I would suggest that you contact Family Court or a Legal-Aid agency in your area. You need to get clarity on what YOUR
legal obligations are. Does your current "child support order"
stipulate that you can pay less .... if your ex-wife re-marries??? .... I really DOUBT THAT would be the case. You are financially responsible for YOUR biological children.

Are you saying that you are prepared to put the needs of YOURSELF and your NEW WIFE over the needs of YOUR
OWN children??? When you married this current wife ... Didn't you take into consideration that YOU are financially
responsible for YOUR children???

Do you REALLY not want to support your OWN children so that you and your CURRENT wife can have an easier lifestyle??? ..... And didn't your current wife KNOW about
your children and your responsibility to them???

Again .... get some legal counsel .... so that you are CLEAR
on what you need to do LEGALLY .... Clearly you don't have
any emotional or moral issues regarding short-changing your OWN children!!!

well thats a part of life , thats what happens when you have kids from a former marriage...CHILD SUPPORT!. regaurdless whether she got marroed or the fact that you are now married has nothing to do with it.... the kids are still YOUR responsiblitity!, there for by law YES you have to pay up til the kids reach 16 depending which country your in, some its 18 the legal age of adults. So thats just one of your financial problems and if you and your neew wife cant even afford to pay your RENT then I suggest you go and get a second job and maybe learn how to budget so that you dont have to suffer too much....... good luck sorry if it seenm harsh buit I tell it how it is....LIFE!

i understand you position, my mate is in the same situation as you, his ex got married and they have 2 wages coming in, where as my mate has just his, the system is wrong, i believe that child support should be paid but not that much that you cant survive, i dont think the system really looks at each individual case, just has a standard procedure for child support. maybe get yourself a laywer, or contact the child support agency and get them to review your child support. my mate quit his job so his ex couldnt get the full amount of support whilst he was unemployed, this made his ex lower his original payments and he went back to work. i hate money its the root of all evil. good luck friend.

first did you go to the revue they had on the child support case. Well I have my son father on child support and i know that he got to live to. they wanted him too pay 475 a month but he his a wife and children so we talk to the judge and i got them to drop it to 250 a month some women are just greedy, but some men are just dead beat dads but i don't think that a man that's trying to take care of their children is getting credit. Less amount of money you make the less you pay. try to work something out with your ex.

Tell your current wife to get a full time job. Your children are not responsible for the bills you and your current wife make. You ex wife and her husband are not responsible for the bills you and YOUR current wife encur.

Sorry but you as the child's natural father are responsible for their upkeep financially. Doesn't matter if your ex married herself a millionaire, in the eyes of the system you are the one that pays the freight for any child that you fathered.

You can petition to have your payments modified but they will want all of your financial information, or instead of taking away from your children, your wife could work full time.

this is child support and it is to take care of your child/children. you are responsible for supporting your child/children regardless of whether or not your ex is married.

maybe you and your wife should re-examine your spending habits and make some changes to your budget to make sure your child/children are provided for properly.

you don't,its based on how much you make, not what you spend.
cut back on your spending, your children are the priority.maybe your current wife can increase her working hours, her income should not be counted toward child support obligation, they aren't her kids.
