Carlos Gomez is a hot commodity and MLB teams are aware of his amazing upside potential. He could certainly be included in the trade talks with the top line players on other teams and the Mets could do very well for themselves if they elect to make Gomez available.

With only Carlos Gomez? Nobody significant. I'd still like to know what Minaya is doing with this collection of mediocre catchers. I heard he was going to try to take advantage of the dearth of available catchers and use one as trade bate, but that seems lightyears from happening.

a couple of so and so relief pitchers or a slumping starter. good starters like santana and bedard will require a package of talent not just one player
