Well everyone else besides Kobe sucks. Kobe plays so much and what happens is that the first half he plays like micheal jordan but the second half he gets too tired and he can't play like he used to.

I agree. Kobe is REALLY good and yet they are just an average team. Let me try explaining by drawing comparisons to the 90s Chicago Bulls team. First off, Lamar Odom was intended to be Kobe's version of Scottie Pippen. He definitely has the talent and abilities to be an elite player in this league and yet Lamar has always underachieved while he's been a Laker. Even more frustrating is that he's been inconsistent throughout his entire career. On one night he'll go for 20-10, while the next night he is 12-6. For the Lakers to reach that higher level, it has to begin with more consistent play from Lamar. The rest of the support cast for the Bulls wasn't very spectacular (other than rebounding machine Rodman) but it was a veteran squad and everyone knew their role on the team. On the other hand, the supporting cast for the Lakers might actually have more talent than the Bulls teams in the 90s. However, its a very young and inexperienced squad and many of the players have a long way to go in their maturation. I believe this team can become great or go down in flames - they're that unpredictable.

I don't understand what you mean. They are a very young team with new players and a difficult offense to learn. The triangle is not easy. I think they are playing well with a lot of energy. They are losing big sometimes but you'll have that. I like their depth and I think they could do something in the playoffs if attitudes don't arise during the season.
The real problem with the Lakers is Jerry Buss. That guy is a total liar and he is responsible for most of the drama that has taken place about Shaq and Kobe over the last few years. Both have said Buss makes promises and doesn't keep them. When you make promises to two of the greatest players of all time, you better keep them. That's the real reason Shaq left. Then, Jerry blames it all on Kobe. Now Kobe's angry and he wants out. Jerry Buss is the real problem on the Lakers.

Nothing, they're 11-8 they have definitely proven that they can play. Its just a matter of doing it on a regular basis. They can compete against any team in the league. Bynum is finally starting to blossom, there bench is sensational, and Kobe is Kobe. They'll secure a 5 or 6 spot this year mark my word, not a 7 or 8 spot. and within the next two years they will be a championship contender.

when they had the old player playing ( when shaq was playing) there was a lot of team work, but now it's all kobe, and hes a 1 man team. i personally don't hate kobe, but if you take him out of the team, lakers=R.I.P. If you go to nba.com, if you check all the games that the laker were beating the other team by a lot of points, if you look at the boxscore, basically all the player scored. What does that mean? well that mean if they play like a team, they own like a team.

I think that since everyone is critizing Kobe so much he's trying to be more of a passer-type of player. So he's passing to his teammates and they're just not getting the job done. Kobe needs to find a new team.

The reason the Pistons didn't pursue him-he's a one man team, a ball hog.
I'd take Chauncey Billips or Richard Hamilton every time over Bryant.
LeBron James is a team PLAYER-Bryant never could figure that out. Haven't you noticed he's nothing without O'Neal ?
