Yes! I have gotten in trouble numerous times because I won't let people control me. I do what I want as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. I HATE getting gifts for Christmas and my birthday. I hate giving gifts for Christmas and birthdays. I know I MUST do this for my daughter and grandchildren but I wish I didn't have to. It's so stupid. I would be so much happier if people would just get together and enjoy each other's company. I don't like to hear, "Wonder what I'm going to get" or "I need to know what to get John" THEN, they take them back to the store and I wonder who I can re-gift it to next year.

We all march to the beat of someone else's drum. That's what allows us to purchase computers, have jobs, go to schools, play sports and basically have money. Hell, anarchists march to the beat of another anarchist's drum; it's nothing more than just copied sentiment/ideas. The only people who ever marched to the beat of their own drums were cavemen.

I like to think I march to the beat of my own drum, but I know that my drum is not as fast or erratic as others.

I can't march,I wheelchair it instead.......But seriously now..I do my own thing. The only time I follow the crowd is when I'm going to a concert....

I would say yes, but I think my boyfriend would disagree. I feel different from everyone, but when he asked what I wanted for Christmas I quickly replied a Journey necklace and earrings. When he saw it he called me mainstream because he sees that particular piece of jewelry everywhere. I can't help it! I think that it is beautiful and the meaning is so special.
