do you use the deionized water for cars battery cell

deionized or distilled its both the same,


basically its just boiled tap water


ten times cheaper if you make your own

Yes. never tap water, unless you boil it first and leave it to cool down.
I have always used ''distilled'' water from the tap, boiled, and have been doing this for 40 years and never had a problem.
If you have a new - ish battery make sure it is a 'wet' battery and not a gel battery, cos if u put watta in it, you'll do it in! A.

I've used tap water before, without anything bad happening to the battery, but distilled water is recommended. De-ionized water is OK, but I wouldn't pay the extra money when distilled water is just as good, and cheaper.

Distilled water... calcium and lime are natural buffers that is found in a lot of water and will weaken the sulfuric acid even further than the added water alone

I have used tap water for 56 years and not had a problem, where I live in Scotland the water is soft so it would depend on the water in your area.

You can use any water, but Distiled is the best. It doesn't have any of the useless stuff that a battery doesn't need. Hope this helps-Matt

I've used regular tap water in batteries for over 35 years. Never had a problem yet.

Yes you do, it stops the battery plates scaling up.

All new batteries are sealed so there is no need to add water
