Tap water is extremely unhealthy for you body.

1 Part per million of fluoride increases your chances of developing behavioral problems such as ADHD by 25 Percent. That is why we have had a surge of children with ADHD.

There is so much awful stuff in our water these days. The best kind of water I can tell you is water that has nothing in it but H2O.

Distilled water then treated with UV light (Reverse Osmosis treatment) is essentially the best water. This is because the distillation boils the water and the machine catches the steam, leaving behind all the TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) left behind stuck to the bottom of the canister. Then it should be treated with UV light to disinfect any remaining bacteria.

One downside of distilled water is that distillation doesn't remove VOC's, Volatile Organic Compounds and I don't know if UV light will destroy these or not. But also, believe me, don't go to the mountains and get tap water from the rivers or streams.

The reason you shouldn't do this is because of run-off. There are so many pesticides and insecticides in our water due to run-off pollution. Plus, you don't know what people are doing upstream.

This problem can't be blamed on the water treatment facilities because legally they are doing all they can with the tax dollars they are alloted. There would have to be an IMMENSE tax increase if these facilities began using distillation and UV light.

And even if they did, all the pipes are still crawling with debris. So once the water is cleaned with Dist. and UV light, the water would still have to pass through these pipes and completely defeat the purpose.

I recommend purchasing a water distiller (Lowes, Wal-Mart, the are all over the place) and distill your water. Then find a UV light emitter and just scan the water with the light to disinfect it. But be sure not to expose yourself to this UV emitter as it will endanger slightly endanger your skin.

I have struggled with this also. I drink Mountain Valley Spring Water. It is very pure. Aquafina is basically reverse osmosis filtered water. There's nothing wrong with it. It is pure also but the PH is slightly acidic so that isn't good. You could buy a reverse osmosis filter for your home and add a mineral cartridge to improve the PH. In the long run, this would be the cheapest solution.
Fiji has traces of Arsenic in it, ie. rat poison. Plus, they have had many bacteria issues in the past.
Poland Spring has an acidic PH which is not good for you either.

I buy whatever is cheap, but have been known to refill the jug with tap water! I am not afraid! I just say a prayer, and do the best I can to eat healthy, exercise, and drink lots of water. I control what I can, and what I can't I let GO!.

you basically just need a good water jug with a filter in it Fill it straight from the tap and the water comes out lovely and pure and free from all the things they use that claim to keep you healthy and safe. Just change your filter around every couple of months. It wont cost a lot and for your own piece of mind and families then its definately worth a smallish purchase of around £20.. The taste is so clean too!!You can definately tell the difference. I commend you on caring...

Ya know people have been drinking water since the beginning of time and the news tells us everyday that something that we have been doing forever is going to kill us, well guess what we are all going to die! I myself like cold water if I want a cool drink and hot water if I want some hot tea. Don't worry so much about everything my grandparents house was painted with lead paint and my dad is alive and well at 78 years young if you worry it just takes away years...

Reverse osmosis water is good. It removes chlorine, florine, and heavy metals. The only thing is the minerals are removed also. Evian water is good for minerals. Maybe a combo of Evian(1 bottle for minerals) and the rest of the day drink reverse osmosis. I get my reverse water from the grocery store. I use a 5 gal bottle and they have a dispensor in the store to refill the bottle.

Bottled water is the biggest scam ever. They tell you it's "better" or has more stuff good for you in it. Nope, it's just plain sinkwater made to look cleaner looking through chemicals and television. The truth? Go to the sink. Don't waste gasoline going out for something you have at home.
