Inversion therapy takes all the pressure off your spine and sends more oxygen to your brain. If so, how did you like it?

Does hanging upside down from a tree limb count?

I tried it years ago and loved it. We bought a Backswing. The best part is that you don't have to go totally upside down. A comfortable angle works great. It is so nice to be pulled in an opposite direction after sitting and standing all day. I saw an inversion chair on the Net. I think that would be great too.

I have used inversion boots before to relieve back pain, but ...there is an age beyond which is it not adviseable...as the arteries harden, etc., an increase in blood pressure to the brain can rupture tiny vessels and lead to mild or major strokes...be careful of what you do...what we could once do, sometimes it is no longer wise. I've done a modified form of it, using a machine at a gym which is designed for lower back extension exercises. Essentially, I was able to hang from it by bending at the waist over the 45-degree device. It was helpful in relieving a muscle spasm and soreness from the lower back.

I have never heard of it before, but it sounds good. I have very painful back problems. Couldn't hurt to have a little more oxygen in my brain either.

Yes, and I loved it. It took some time to get use to and, I had to take it slowly. I can now go fully inverted which feels great. It's a good position to meditate in !!! After a session my back feels so good, even my hip feels better. I would recommend it to anyone who can medically handle it.

I think my back would love it but my head would not. I suffer from headaches and afraid this would trigger one. I would try it just to see though.

I have heard of it but haven't tried it. I think it would give me a head ache too.
