It is a waste of time.
My nephew thought he was buying a PS3 for $200.00.
The picture was of a PS3 in the box with every item included.
When he got it, it was a GameBoy Color.

Hey there,

A lot of people do not trust ebay, and you might have to be careful who you are dealing with sometimes. Some people are careless or want to steal your money, but I have been involved in 78 transactions on ebay and never had a problem. If I got something I didn't like, and was different from the description and picture, I wouldnt get angry or just become depressed, I would calmly work it out with the seller.
Also, if you have PayPal and you buy something then never get the packagae, PayPal will give you a COMPLETE refund. But that has never happened to me.
To avoid situations like those make sure:
1. The seller you are buying from has at least 5 good feedbacks
2. The seller has a good feedback of 97% or higher
3. You ask question regarding the item before buying
4. You communicate frequently and effectively.

Good Luck!

I have been able to find a lot items that I could not find anywhere else or items at a lot lower price than a regular store on EBAY. I don't like that the way its structured. People push their shipping and handling over 3 to 4 times the actual S&H so they would pay EBAY less for a percentage of the items selling price.

Ebay's great. The only thing I would suggest is that you keep any correspondence between you and the seller.

One time there was a price discrepancy as the seller wanted more that he had originally asked for, so I sent them his own emails and the matter was dropped.

You can find some good rarities, if you spend some time comparing the same item between different sellers

It sucks. A lot of the same name items with the same pictures when I search for something I want. I can't even sell something because I have to pay a stupid small fee before I sell.
