Rome is 100% better on the radio. As far as ESPN...well, since we are in the football section and you have asked this type of question...I will air my beef towards ESPN/ABC college football sports casting.

WTF?! Seriously (pardon my language), but why must we see the commentators every other play. I'm not saying they are ugly or anything like that, but I don't care about the back story of players or what famous people on the sidellines think or what FRIGGIN tie any of them are wearing. SHOW THE GAME!!

AND...

Why WHY do they switch to another game if the game is "well in hand"??? Do the second or third string players of the winning team not matter?

The worst is when they switch over to another game that is ALREADY ON ABC!! For example, I'm a WVU fan. Always have and always will be. I'm watching the WVU vs UConn game and in the middle of the 3rd Quarter they switch to the in studio people so they can update us on the scores and then send us to the (sorry forgetting which actual game) college game that is ALREADY ON ABC!! So, now, instead of being able to see two different games on two channels, I am no FORCED to watch one game on both channels. What gives??

I think the thing that ticks me the most off is that they wouldn't do this to OSU or LSU or Florida, but anyone else...eh, screw em...we know this game is done. It's ridiculous.

Plus the commentary has gotten so trite these days it's ridiculous.

There I said...

His shows (TV and radio) used to be good, but now they've become caricatures of themselves. When I watch him now, it feels like I'm watching someone pretending to be Jim Rome. The same thing happened with Chris Berman years ago.

Being called the worst show on ESPN is pretty insulting, too - it's like being called the stupidest kid in the slow class.

By far... Jim Rome is the most retarded person that ESPN ever gave a show to. He has no logic behind his statements. Basically he says "this is what i'm saying.. and i'm right." with no facts to back it up.. he's a moron.

I don't watch Rome is Burning because it is on during the day.
However, I listen to the jungle (radio show) every day! Anything but boring, to me.
Like Rome says, give it two weeks, if you still don't like it, give it two more!

war this comment being the best answer and me receiving 10 pts!

btw....look at my username!

Only show worse is that one with Stephen A. Smith that lasted about a month!!! I felt like I was tuning in to a Louis Farrakan rally everytime I hear him open his mouth.

Hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and that's yours. I happen to really enjoy Jim Rome. He's very knowledgeable, and he's not afraid to say anything to anyone.

If you don't like his show, then don't watch it.

He is deffo the Howard Stern of shock sports radio. I love when the cuts off any opinion contrary to his own and then bashes the person who offered that opinion. real class act.

ever notice the man has no real sports knowledge..you never hear stats or data to back up his arrogant blabber.

I used to like his radio show, then after a couple of years it started working on me like a cheese grater. Some old lines, same old jokes, it got to a point that when his show came available in Canada I couldn't tune in.
