You are confused. All the Dem candidates want to stop the Bush tax cuts. These were not to the middle class, the Bush tax cuts primarily helped those households making over $200,000 and up per year. You are calling $200,000 and up middle class? Not any where in the US would that be considered middle class

Examples, links, sources,...anything? Last I heard the Democrats in the House and Senate are trying to lower taxes on the middle class by reforming the alternative minimum tax and (novel idea) actually having the reforms paid for by higher taxes on the rich. The rich and sycophantic Republicans, of course, like the first part, but not the second. "Reagan proved debt doesn't matter." Dick "shotgun" Cheney.

I am a democrat, and I do not want to raise taxes on the middle class.
I do favor an estate tax for the filthy rich.....say starting with estates in excess of $100 million dollars or more.
I also favor reducing taxes on low income people and keeping them about where they are now on middle income people all the way up to $250,000 per year.
I do putting taxes back to the levels they were at when clinton left office for everyone making over $250,000.
As I said, I am a democrat, and thats what I believe.
Which makes your statement a lie.

Republicans have shifted the tax burden on to the middle class. If you are in the top .5% of earners you got a tax break "IN THE MIDDLE OF A WAR" what freakin sense does that make !
The working poor get a credit (EIC) for at least trying.... It's you ninnys in the middle that keep voting against your own self-interest, so you have no one to blame but yourselves.
And Haliburton just moved to the ME....to avoid paying taxes!!! hooo hooo haaa haa haaaa

I think the tax increase will be on those earning over $100,000 yearly and $200,000 couples. SO, these people will once again have to pay their fair share
Warren Buffet the worlds third richest man says he pays too little in taxes. He believes that Bushs tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans is wrong!!
He say that he pays less in taxes than his secretary (percentage of income)
He has challenged his millionaire and billionaire counterparts to prove that they pay more (percentage wise) than their secretarys
IF THEY PROVE IT HE WILL GIVE THEM $1 MILLION IN CASH
SO FAR NO TAKERS

I would consider anybody in the top bracket making more than $300,000.00 a year rich, and they are the only people that will have taxes raised. Stop your conservative fear-mongering.
Edit:
Sorry, actually the top bracket is $349,701.00 and over.

good question
Don C. - If Buffet feels that he doesnt pay enough tax then why doesnt he just forgo any and all deductions, if he went ahead and paid his "actual" tax rate, he might be singing a different tune. Noone is making him claim deductions.
