What was it like?

I don't own a car.
I ride the bus shopping and to work.
I meet interesting people, some who frequent the same bus stops or ride the same bus routes I do.
(ok, I meet some weird people as well, but I am sure there are those who consider me weird as well).

I run into more really weird people in the larger Cities (such as Portland Oregon where I often visit family) than in the small city I live in.

I try to avoid crowded times, as I am not a big fan of being stuffed between masses of other people.

When I am shopping, I have to manage how much I buy, and insure I am not getting more than I can carry.
That is sometime inconvenient.

Yeah I've ridden a city bus. I live in the city. It's nothing special. It's kinda like a school bus but you can stand up and much more room depending on how many people on on it. And you can get off whenever you like.

In New York City they are fine. The rich and the poor ride them. Here, in the Southwest, you wouldn't EVER want to get on the first morning bus...all the leftovers who've been out all night, just wait for that first bus. After that, some working people do the 'park and ride' thing, and it's not so bad.

each paintings day and maximum weekends. In Seattle, we've an excellent bus device. making use of a automobile in the city would be greater difficulty than it is properly worth, so I offered my automobile and have not neglected it in any respect. You meet most of the main colourful human beings and over hear some spectacular memories. My blood rigidity is 10 factors decrease now that I dodge making use of to paintings.

Unlike your country, ours is different but buses they are. The buses operating in our country has open windows and I mean there isn't any glasses to protect us from the glaring sun or the occassional rain. But that doesn't stop us from getting on the bus. I find that I feel relieved and I'm always enjoying the scene. If I were to pick the best transport, I'd go for the bus - you'll enjoy it!

Only about 500 times! If you live in the city, it is a very good method of transportation, especially since there is no affordable parking! It is just like riding in a car, only bigger and more people.

yes
in my old hometown Downtown Riverside,CA

I used to take it everyday
the only thing I didn't like was all day hearing the main stop in the center of the city
"next stop route 1,10,11,15,20,25,29,39,49,50,100,and 149"(the actual order)
by an annoying compurter voice
sadly I was 5 to 11 years old
when I heard that and ended up memorizing the city plus all the stops

All the time, sometimes it is loud (people on cells or ipods), sometimes smelly (people forget to bathe), sometimes frighten (other drivers trying to cut in front of the bus) etc...
