The health care plan of former Sen. John Edwards, a Democratic candidate for president, would require all Americans to have insurance, with people "of means" having their wages garnished or tax refunds withheld if they don't sign up and lower-income people getting help through subsidies or government health programs, the Des Moines Register reports.

EDWARDS ESTA LOCO! I THINK HE IS A LITTLE BIT CRAZY
"When somebody chooses not to be in the health-care system, then what they're choosing is that the rest of America is going to pay for their health care," Edwards said. "My health-care plan requires responsibility from everybody. The government's responsible, the individual's responsible, the workers are responsible, and the employers are responsible." Under the plan, uninsured people would be automatically enrolled in a program when they go to a health care provider such as an emergency room or utilize a government service such as a public school, reports the Register. Edwards did not say how much higher-income people would have to pay for not having insurance.

That second poster is funny "who in their right mind would choose to be uninsured?" Too funny. A lot of people (millions) do not have insurance even though they can in fact afford it; I used to be one of them. When I made pretty damn good money, it was cheaper for me and my family just to pay for the Dr visits. People are often willing to take the risk of being uninsured and in need of surgery- most know that EVERY hospital has programs to write off medical expenses if the patient can prove they cannot afford it- it is the law.
Then there are the "poor" who do qualify for government insurance now but dont sign up either because they are just that slow and dont know they can get it or are proud and independent and thus dont want the hand out. (used to be a lot more of these types)
If you do not want insurance it is no ones business but your own. The government has no business getting even more involved in the healthcare field. At least now, medicaid and medicare are just two programs out of hundreds- a single payer system gives total control to the government and that is not American

I think the whole plan is rediculously stupid. Health care Insurance is a luxury/privilege and not a right. That some dolt would suggest that we make it MANDATORY that everyone have it is an infringement upon our rights. And to then penalize those who either choose not to or those simply cannot afford it is an even bigger crock. Whatever happened to working for things? Today's democrats are not our parents' democrats. Those of yesterday, believed in work. Today's simply feel they are entitled. When today's youth graduate from school, they EXPECT to start at the same living standard it took their parents 20-30 years to obtain. Here's a thought for you: because it's almost impossible to have a job and make a living without a car, and you can't get a car without a job, shouldn't the government then provide us with a car? Guess who DID do that? Adolf Hitler -- remember the Volks Wagen? Hmmm.

First John Edwards is a individual. each dwelling individual has sinned one time or yet another. it is extremely ordinary to decide others. In existence all of us is tempted to do issues that are incorrect. some human beings bypass forward and wreck the marriage bond and function affairs. in the tip they pay a value for the single nighttime fling they lose the believe of their kinfolk member if found out. This very own situation is between God and the couple in contact. it is extremely ordinary to bounce on somebody who's accepted and properly universal, it has grow to be a "activity" merely watch the information on television. all of us is speaking approximately it and merely think of how the youngsters of those human beings be afflicted by being teased and so on. it is extremely unhappy. for my area bypass away those human beings on my own and enable them to locate a quiet place to sit down down and contemplate their strikes, their inner soul will trojan horse them for a protracted time. it somewhat is punishment alongside with the scientific care they get from kinfolk. One of the reasons that health coverage is so high is because of massive lawsuits against doctors. Funny John Edwards made his fortune as a Lawyer suing doctors in Malpractice lawsuits. Is that realy who we want to fix our Health care system. He's a joke.

I don't think much at all about John Edwards. He is largely irrelevant, lingering so far behind Hillary and Barack. And he should be taking care of his poor wife, not running for president, anyway.
Vote for Rudy!

Edwards is an idiot. Maybe he'd like to write a check to cover all of those who are uninsured or choose to be.

That doesn't make sense. Why wouldn't a wealthy person sign up for Health Insurance? Regardless, we need Universal Health Care because the current system is terribly flawed, and we need to start taking care of our own people. Republicans don't give a damn about people and that's why we aren't like other modern nations that provide health care.
