Plain warm water and diswashing liquid detergent will do the job. Be sure to rub the soapy water in with your fingers, GOING FROM THE INSIDE OUT TOWARD THE RIM OF THE CD....not in a circular motion. Rinse it off, let it dry by placing it on a piece of paper towal to blot up the water, and then let it air-dry. Now try the CD again.

Try using a cottonball and rubbing alcohol. This also helps with scratches.
