Actually, if you look at the Annual report on the Quality of Life in different countries, you will notive that more then half of the countries in the first 10 are Monarchies (UK, Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, Denmark, Spain, Belgium, etc).
So believe it or not, life IS actually better under Monarchies.

Of course, as it was pointed, todays Monarchies are mostly constitutional, however I'm not sure it's just coincidence that most countries with Monarchies are more successful then the rest.

Is the current quality of life under a Republican state any better? I asume after reading a lot of Yahoo UK responders, that this does not seem to be the case. hereafter, I think that Monarchy could bring a lot of good to a country again, that is ridden by bad political decissions and influences. I think I would vote for the Monarchy. History has shown that Monarchy had had a lot of positiveness for a particulary country. They are fostering better international political affairs. As now a day politicians are handling such affairs very poorly. Look at our darn President Bush. I d rather have a Monarchy. Democratcy is not Democracy here any more either. Feels like we are going back to the slavery ages. Yeah, just boo me out. I do not care it's my opinion any how.

In today's world? Most world monarchies are just constitutional so it doesn't make much of a difference at all. In the UK some may complain that they are 'parasites' but in fact they only cost the British taxpayer 70p a year and every taxpayer certainly takes more than this from the government. Our monarchy brings in money through tourism and their own businesses.
