What part of the labor is most painful contractions or when the baby is coming out.? I'm 27 weeks with my first baby just trying to get an idea of what to expect.

Did you take any medication for the pain or did u deliver naturally? How long were in labor for?

My contractions were not all that bad. They were perhaps a 6 or 7 on a scale of one to ten. That is at their worst. The pushing contractions did not hurt at all. The crowning hurts, but it only lasts for a couple of minutes. I did not have any pain medication with my births. I had four; my labors were 19 hours, 15 hours, 11 hours, and 33 hours long. I used the Bradley method with all of mine. It really helps.

When the baby is coming out if the labor is short, but the contractions if the labor is long. I was in labor for 19+ hrs with my son and that was horrible durring contractions. My daughter was 6 hrs and the contractions weren't so bad. I had some pain drug and an epidural won't have one any other way. The worst part for me is when the head or sholders go through it feels like a really bad stinging and tearing even if you don't tear. But once it's done all the pain is gone. It's not so bad I only remember the pain when i get close to haveing another baby like now i'm 36 weeks and am remembering what it was like. Good luck hope i didn't scare you.

I was in labor for 15 hours, and i did not have any pain relief, however that was due to the fact i decided to wait and see how bad the pain would be i didn't want to have and epidural or anything else if i didn't need it, the pain was about a 8/10 at it worst and that was during the last hour when i was pushing but don't worry once you have delivered and see your baby the pain has gone and you forget what it is like, good luck

The contractions are most painful. When the baby comes out it doesn't hurt. I had my son naturally and it really wasn't half bad. I'd never get an epidural, my sister did and she still has pain from the injection site 3 yrs later. I was in labor for 10 hours total.
