Okay so theres this horrible mouse living under my sink, and it keeps chewing through the water lines, and dishwasher lines....is there anything I can spray on the lines to keep mice from chewing? I put out bait and traps, but in case they come back, I need them to not chew up my house anymore

Just a comment, Mice LOVE peanut butter, I put it in traps and it will attract them..it is NOT a deterrent.

Non-poison solution: We live in the county and mice are an issue here, too. Glue boards (Tom Cat brand) work the best. They are the black trays with really sticky glue in them. Place one under the sink where your cats and dogs can't walk in it. It won't hurt your pet, but it's really messy if they get in it. It doesn't hurt to set a few out. Bathroom, laundry room, etc. If you set them out in a room (assuming you don't have pets) put them along base boards. Mice don't run across the room...they travel along the walls.

Poison solution: What worked best for me is Tom Cat brand liquid. You buy a screw-on "chick feeder" attachment for a mason jar and put the liquid bait with water in it. Mice and rats can't resist it. DO NOT let your children or house pets near this stuff. Lock the under-the-sink cabinet up with a baby lock or something that will effectively guarantee the safety of your little ones and pets. If you don't have little ones or pets, you can set the feeder in the corner of your kitchen.

There are lots of brands out there, but Tom Cat works the best for me. I use it in sheds, barns, cabinets, etc. It kills barn rats, too.

Good luck!

You do not have A mouse, you have lots. Spending at the hardware shop can be false economy. Call someone close by for professional advice - request a free survey.
Quite often a professional will charge you no more than what you would have paid for baits and parts via the hardware store.
A good pest conyroller can have you free of issues within a week.
Bar this I must inform you that peanut butter is second only to Nutella on a mouses christmas wish list.

Much as I enjoy nature, it is not natural to have critters living under the kitchen sink...they will eventually make their way to your cereal--not what you'd like pouring out in the morning.
Therefore, I keep a plentiful feed supply of D-Con rat and mouse pellets safely away from pets and human food supplies.

Perhaps you can put these trays under your sink behind the cleaning products. Also, you can wrap your lines with double-sided carpet tape. It comes in rolls and is generally 2" wide. I don't think the mice will return to the lines if they get stuck on them even once.

A note about sonic-rodent repellents: Do not use them if you have small pets or birds. I tried it while we had a white rat, a hampster and 2 birds--they went nuts!

Good luck to you!

Please do not smear the lines with peanut butter, peanut butter can be used in mouse traps but not on the lines! They would chew thru even faster than present. With what did you fill your trap. not cheese I hope beacuse that only works in WB cartoons unless the mouse is really hungry. Use peanutbutter, a sure way!!

They now have sonic rodent repellers - home depot or canadian tire. They plug into electrical outlets and make a high pitched sound only the rodents can hear, they don't like it and move to the neighbours house. No little corpses left laying around.
