Hank Greenburg has to replace Norm Cash.

I'd also take Harry Heilmann over Sam Crawford.

George Kell at third instead of Rodriguez.

With all due to respect to Norm Cash, there's no way he should make it over Hank Greenberg at first base. Greenberg is a HOFer, while Cash was a short-term star.

I'd also put George Kell at third ahead of Rodriguez. Aurelio had a career .275 OBP, which is about 40 points lower than Kell's batting average! Kell is a deserving HOFer, while Rodriguez is just a guy who happened to be lucky in that he wasn't bumped from his position for a long time.

I like the pitching staff, although I might move Newhouser up in the rotation. He fell off quickly, but was amazing in his 20s. Finally, I'd replace Jones with Mike Henneman.

Don't listen to anyone about replacing Crawford with Heilman or Gibson(!)...

Heilman's hitting statistics were inflated by virtue of playing during the 1920s... Crawford played in the dead ball era... Ty Cobb said Crawford would have easily hit 40 HRs a year in the lively ball era, and given Crawford's extra-base power, a lot of his doubles and triples would have cleared the fences had he had the opportunity to play in the 1920s.

Bobby Veach was a great outfielder for the Tigers as well, and was close to Heilman's level as an all around player.

Virgil Trucks was an outstanding pitcher for the Tigers, but I think you made some pretty good choices for the pitching staff...those guys career numbers were just a bit better than Trucks'... (Trucks once pitched two no hitters in a season, but his final record that year was 5-19... but he won almost 180 games in the majors...he would have won over 200 were it not for his serving in Word War II).

Good choices, except for leaving out George Kell (3B) and Hank Greenberg (1B).

Also, of course, Denny McLain won two Cy Young awards for the Tigers...but his career was cut short by stupidity.

England is universal with the aid of fact the land of risk! If a foreigner needs to bypass there and make the main of his expertise there are a lot of doorways are opened for him. And it is what KP has precisely executed. If he individually felt soft representing England than his motherland then it is his determination. I see KP as between the coolest skills and supplies of English cricket real now! he's one in all the main reason why England defeated Indian in India after 30 years. And little doubt that he has found out from his previous blunders. So Jinxy he's able to kick some butts in Ashes for specific! @Rohal Paul.there's a huge distinction in this Ashes opposition from different rivalries. The English and the Aussies would bypass toe to toe with one yet another yet nonetheless admire each others' comments and TU them. it is the place we ought to continuously study from them!

Great list! However, I would echo what an earlier poster implied and put Hank Greenberg in at 1B instead of Norm Cash and Kirk Gibson at OF in place of Sam Crawford.

At catcher I'd put Mickey Cochrane ahead of Freehan.

Put Greenberg in the outfield or first. Put Cecil Fielder in at DH.

Lucky bastards, might as well replace someone with Miguel Cabrera - maybe 1st, maybe 3rd, but he might turn out to be the best Tiger of all time (beside the jerk, Ty Cobb).

God, Verlander is a stud too.
