Accumulation of too much Internet and temporary files weakens the memory. If memory is not strong, the system stays back. I think you are visiting lot of sites downloading lot of files. Under these circumstances the accumulation occurs and slow down the system. The best remedy is: Clean C drive. I mean, delete all temporary and Internet files after you have visited several sites and downloaded several things. Everyday before closing the computer delete all temporary and Internet files again and run De-fragmentation. You must also run Verification of Errors but this will take little time. This you can do when your computer is free. Also run anti virus. If you maintain the computer in this way you will find improvement. If you think that your computer takes too much time to delete temporary and Internet files that is because you have not done as said before. If you start to do as said above, after third or fourth day your computer will come to normalcy and you can delete the Internet and temporary files quickly and do defragmentation as well.

get a new computer.. they're cheap now. lots of stores have holiday specials now too.
or you can just buy more ram, but if your comp is that old i dont know how well it would help.
