WOW - she's a bit uptight don't you think? I don't think a lot of people even read some questions correctly and yup, I have seen tons of assumptions. What I chuckle at the most is people answering questions that they have absolutely no knowledge about.

Sounds like a sweetie to me.

I find that people assume way too many things without taking time to find out the facts. I asked a question that I really wanted others opinions on and got told I sound racist and prejudiced. My intention was to get honest answers, not be insulted by someone who has no idea that I am neither of those things.

Well, sweetie, it's like this. There are a lot of people around who think that questions like that are motivated by guilt after having done it rather than curiosity before (or with no intention of) doing whatever the question's about.

Since paths rarely cross around here, allow me to wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Its the context. Seeing as "Do you drink [something]?" Is a query of glaring answer, we rapidly assume its of a few magnitude or different from the norm, consequently "Do you drink [alcohol]?" grew to become the understood question for those 3 words. discover somebody that want no drink to proceed to exist and you will debunk that mode of concept, and persons will start to become greater specific.

Amusement is the best antidote for assumptions. I for one pity them for missing the fun. Give and take by the way on the body shot thing.

I would have to reason that she's not a fan of The Odd Couple TV show, as she isn't aware of what happens when you assume.

It's the evolution of the old "A friend told me so"
Only, no one can tell if it's actually a friend, a fantasy or a lie
