Bankrupcy, No money coming in, In debt.. Buyers changing, and customers not liking the new products(therefore not coming in leading the store to bankrupcy) .. Moving perhaps??.. Pretty much those are the reasons for a store going out of buisness.. I was shocked to hear BOMBAY was going out of buisness, my mother loves that store! crazy huh??

It's almost always because they weren't making any money. In some cases there could be other reasons, like the owner becomes sick and no one wishes to take over.

Natural distasters..
The occasional wal mart doing to much competative pricing(seriously, I see it so much where I live..)
It can even depend on religion or morals...
