If you're talking about employment I would advise you to talk with someone at the NC Employment Commission (or whatever they call it in now)

The counselor there should be able to answer your questions and provide the paperwork you will need.

Good luck!

Unless you can prove it was for discrimination or whitle blowing then no. What you may think is wrongful termination may and probably is perfectly legal. NC is an "at will" state menaing an employer can terminate you for any reason within the bounds of the law and is not required to disclose to you why.

Most states are "at will", that is the employer can terminate employment whenever they desire - a reason is not required - simply - your services are no longer required.

I would go find another job. A smart employer will never tell any other potential employer why you were released - it opens them to liable. On your application, simply say the job wasn't a fit or there was no growth opportunity.

Start with the state labor board. If that doesn't work, hire an attorney and file a wrongful termination lawsuit.

You can be terminated for any reason or no reason at all short of discrimination, unless you are in a union, so talk to your union, or just find a way to explain why you aren't at your last job in a good way at interviews.

Appeal to your HR department; ask the labor relations board to look into it.

Odds are you'll just have to explain it when the time comes
