I am genuinely curious. If the Islamic extremists said they would totally capitulate if we promised to revoke the U.S. Constitution... would you be willing to make that promise?

For those whose answer is no... then why would you support programs which are in direct violation of our Constitution in an effort to "keep us safe" from those same people?

Nope, easy and simple.

No. Make that, Hell no.

First, Jihadists lie.

Second, why would I give up my rights and freedoms for the illusion of peace? Did the free world learn nothing from the appeasement of Hitler in the 1930s?

As to your belief, sincere but misguided, that the programs enacted in an effort to find and stop the terrorists somehow infringe on my rights and freedoms, it is incorrect.

No matter how loudly people yell it, neither the Patriot Act nor the Military Commissions Act infringe upon our Constitutional rights. And neither are the other surveillance programs. And that's a fact.

No I would not be willing to revoke the US Constitution and as of right now I am hoping we still have a constitution by the end of all of this

No. You mention programs that are a direct violation to our constitution. People go to jail for directly violating the constitution. Anyone in jail?......ok then maybe there are no violations to the constitution, and you are ill with BDS.

No I wouldn't and no I don't.
Never give in to a terrorist.
Reminds me of my little girl. She began to if we didn't jump and get what she wanted immediately or do exactly what she wanted she screamed and threw herself around the living room. So my wife to avoid that jumped when she could see a tantrum coming.
I told her to stop jumping when she screams and she will stop screaming. In the middle of a foot ball game she screamed at the top of her lungs. So I decided she needed a time out and sit her in the corner on a chair. Every time she did that she didn't get what she wanted and back to the chair.
Guess what she stopped doing that!
When we give in to their screams and fits and riots over teddy bears and beg their forgiveness and we will never do that again. You are encouraging them to do it again.
Make it so that they don't want to do that again. Say okay just for that no foreign aid. Sanctions, and no we are not buying your oil. Take your oil and see if we were not your best customer.
China doesn't mess with us because we are their best customer. You are not mean to your best customer.
Get oil somewhere else for a while and don't give them money and when they get hungry they will be nice.

No to revoking the constitution, no to extending rights to terrorists or their supporters. You won't be tapped if you do not call outside the country. Your server is another question.

Please site, with credible sources, what has been done in violation of the Constitution. While you're at it, perhaps you can also site where the Supreme Court has upheld any violation of the Constitution. Also, I would appreciate an explanation as to why you feel that you are more knowlegeable about the Constitution than those appointed to interperet and abide by it.

nope, because war needs to be fought- You obviously have no idea of what war is- but if you have rules to it , then you can never win.

Plus your not looking at some facts - when was the first time rights were put to the side so we could fight a war?

1812

when was the second time?

Civil war

when was the next time?

WWII

are you seeing a trend here.

The basic fundamental of our constitution has already been destroyed. "All men are created equal" Tell this to the aborted baby.
