The first edition of "Heidi" by Johanna Spyri was published in 1880 in Switzerland; the book was published in the German language. Therefore, if in English, your book would have a translator. It might also have illustrations and a dust jacket. Often, if the book is a movie-tie in [say an image of Shirley Temple as "Heidi" on the cover, or photographs from the filmed version] all these could inmprove its value. Examples of prices for 1931 English edition are:

It is worth $800.00. The single volume edition, described next, sells for $8,000.

The more it is "mint" the more money it's worth. If it's just "o.k." I would venture to say it's not worth much.
If you like, you can study first about old books and their worth at the Wikipedia site... I was just there in this category and they have a good, long article (scroll down to find whatever you may really want to know from it)-- plus links to more info if desired. It's all interesting.
Then, if you still want to converse with someone, take your book to a rare or collectible book dealer and see what he or she says.

I could not say what it is worth, but I do believe it is a first edition. (The original movie came out in 1937 with Shirley Temple.) Get several opinions from book dealers before you decide to sell it.

Its 'bait and switch'. The catholic church mastered this 1200 years ago. It gets people out of the Bible and into nonsense. After a few years its no Bible and all nonsense.
