i want to know if a gsxr1000 motorcycle is fast or not.because they look cool and fast and i want to get one when i get older.

nasty fast, I can't barely hold on when I floor mine.
consider this
some of the fastest street legal cars (I mean like ferrari, corvette, porsche, viper) $100,000+ cars can maybe break into the low 3second 0-60 times, whereas my bike can do the same in 2.6 seconds.

Well let's see, what's your definition of fast first???
If 0-60 in under 3 seconds is fast; then yes it is.
If a top speed of over 175mph is fast; then yes it is.
If going 140mph+ in the quarter mile, with an ET below 10 seconds is fast; then yes it is fast.
If outrunning 400,000 dollar sports cars is fast; then yes it is.
But since the correct answer is "All of The Above", I'm gonna say; "Yes, it's fast!"

yes VERY fast! Not good for beginner motorcycle.

Under an experienced racer, they are VERY fast. Under a new rider, the will KILL YOU very fast.
Kill as in dead, no longer breathing, smear on the asphalt, smoking hole in a barrier kind of dead. No reset button, no do-overs, DEAD.
Until you realize your own mortality, stay away from motorcycles altogether.

Motorcycles aren't dangerous, people are. A motorcycle won't kill you, you'll kill yourself. Even recommending a
GSX-R 600, R6, ZX6, 600RR to a very novice rider is too much.

176 mph is fast enough for anyone to do something silly on but it's not how fast it goes but how fast you can stop it
