just solve for x
x + 1 = 0
x = -1
x^2 - x + 1 = 0
This you need to put in the quadratic equation
-(-1) +- (sqrt((-1)^2 - 4(1)(1)))/2(1)
1 +- sqrt(1 - 4)/2
1 +- sqrt(-3)/2
So you get 1 + sqrt(-3)/2 and 1 - sqrt(-3)/2
So those are all your possible answers for x

(x+1)(x^2-x+1)
first multiply everything by x and then by +1 so
x^3-x^2+x+x^2-x+1
then simplify
x^3+1
