Can you parallel park? Are you good at it? Or do you hate it like me? I will go out of my way to find a parking lot or angle parking.

I'm not very good at it. It's rather out-dated and usually only found in downtown areas. My solution? Don't go downtown!

I knew how to parallel park before I had even been behind the wheel of a car. I grew up in NY and it's only parallel parking. When I was a kid, my dad had a van for his business. When he brought it home, I would drive around with him while he tried to find a spot. It's kind of a NY past time: keeping someone company while trying to park a car. When I moved to LA at 23 (that's right, 23 years old), I had to learn how to drive. and remembered all the moves necessary to parallel park correctly. This knowledge is what makes me the success that I am today.

If there's enough room between the two cars I can. But if they are too close for comfort, I'll find another parking space. Usually if I do parallel park, I find that I have my car too far away from the curb and have to adjust the car so that it's closer. I don't go to too many places that require parallel parking, so I rarely have to worry about it.

I have 3/4 ton Van Conversion and it's hard to park, but as long as I take my time I do it easily. To parallel park a regular car would be a snap for me..

im ok at it. need 2' on either end and i can get out with just about anything. done it with a trailer. if its in heavy traffic i have used a spotter to block traffic.
saw an old car on the old tv show "thats incredible" that had a 5th wheel that looked like a spare tire. when in tight parking spots you just flipped a switch and the wheel came down lifting the rear end, making the car a 3 wheeled vehicle with the third going across the back of the car and purpendicular to the front wheels. then just throw the car in gear and swing the back end right out of the parking spot. raise the fifth wheel and back out safely.

i have no problem, i just hate when your trying to parallel, and someone has to come up right behind you so close that it makes it impossible to park, then i have to drive off looking lame, and the person behind me has a dumb look on their face like "what is this person doing"
