If you don't want to buy 2 cent stamps and use them, take 39 cent ones back to the post office, they will refund your money on them. At least they did for me a couple of years ago.

You could buy some 2 cent stamps and use them to mail letters.

why wouldn't you need then? are you no longer using snail mail? - just get as many 2 cent stamps as you have 39's and you'll have the correct amount for current first class mail (41 cents for 1st oz)

Walmart takes anything back. Just tell them that you purchased it there and you would like your money back.
