I know this is a broad question but I cannot seem to find a reliable website with an answer so I'm asking every user on yahoo. I need to know ...
When
How
Why (of course)
and the source where the information came from. It seems like nobody knows when this conflict started and without knowing when it started or what the problem is, how can we begin to understand it. FYI It started way before the 1900's. Probably even before the Holy war Crusades. It just keeps coming back.

Because God told the Israelites who had left Egypt (the Exodus) that it was "their" land - and to kick the Cannanites out. And it's been fought over ever since. The fact that it is the focal point of the three great religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) doesn't help.

The modern ME conflict began post WWII when all the displaced Jews were moved to their "ancestral" home. Thank you Great Britain for that brillant solution.

Whatever the historical reasons, the United Nations decided in 1947 that the former British protectorate of Palestine was to be divided in two nations; a Jewish and a Palestinian one.
By not respecting that UN resolution, we undermine the possibility to see in the future a global organization taking care of global problems. Peace on earth can only come from respecting a worldwide form of government.

As early as "out of Africa", if you believe in that theory.
If you read the ancient histories of the Greeks and Egyptians, those people in the Middle East have been fighting since there was any one to record the fact.

That is why we can not enforce peace there; it is in their DNA.

it started because of religion. the jewish people had the land of israel while the palestinians had surrounding areas. however at some point in time the jews were exiled out because another empire conquered the land. at that time some arabs were living in that area but it wasn't mainly settled by them. later on the jewish people reentered their land and they all try to live in peace with eachother. but the arabs still think its their land and that it is mentioned in their books just like it is mentioned in the jewish bible... so thats basically the jist of it.. maybe check out jewish history im gunna say in the 500's or around there
