I purchased it from a seller on Ebay who has a 500 feedback rating and only 5 negatives. All he sells are the resistor chips for different cars. It only costed me $5 total.

BUT, different people have been giving me mixed advice regarding whether or not I should put it in my car. Some had said that it will work fine and others have warned that it will end up screwing my car's motor up.

I have a short ram air intake in it now and just got new spark plugs put into it. I dont want to take the chance of messing my car up.

WHAT SHOULD I DO?????WELL INFORMED, EXPERIENCED ADVICE ONLY!

Any time you do something to increase horse power you run the risk of things wearing out faster. How much faster will depend on the changes made. If you are adding just a few more horses you probably won't notice much. If your engine is in good shape go ahead and use the chip. If you have a ton of miles on the motor you may find that it is soon to be wore out.

If it's a resistor and was only $5, I bet it just fools the computer into thinking the air or engine temp is lower than it really is and runs the fuel mixture a bit richer. If that's what it does, it won't hurt anything except your gas mileage.
