There are two sources of salt (NaCl): sea salt and rock salt.

When a body of sea water (which contains dissolved salt) is evaporated, salt is precipitated. This is normally done in large, shallow pans near the ocean. Sea water is let in, and then cut off. Over time, it evaporates, leaving salt that is collected. This is normally done in warm areas with low rainfall, to maximise the evaporation rate.

Rock salt is exactly the same as sea salt; except that it formed long ago, has since been buried, and eventually mined.

Hi,

Sea Salt is the best salt to use, as opposed to the Table
Salt. Table Salt is very bad for your body, being that it's
composed of two different chemicals.

SALT... NACL ... IS FORMED NATURALLY FROM OVER SATURATED SEA WATER ....AND IT THEN PRECIPITATES OUT OF SOLUTION AND SETTLES TO THE BOTTOM OF THE BODY OR WATER .... THIS IS HAPPENING TODAY IN THE RED SEA , THE DEAD SEA, AND IT HAPPENED IN ANCIENT CONFINED AREAS FORMING MASSIVE SALT DEPOSITS SUCH AS ARE FOUND IN THE GULF OF MEXICO BOTH ON SHORE AND OFF SHORE ... ALONG THE SABLE ISLAND AREA OFF THE EAST COAST OF CANADA AND ALONG THE EAST COAST OF SOUTH AMERICA AND THE WEST COAST OF AFRICA .... AS WELL AS OTHER PLACES ....
