If you agreed with this candidate on almost every other issue, except your difference in religious beliefs, would you still consider voting for an atheist as president of the U.S.? If not, why?

This question is getting old....but I shall answer it.

I think its terrible this animosity towards atheists - they are some of the most intelligent moral people I know. Would I vote for one in office? Perhaps, but is the politics and ethics
of the person I want to know about.

There have already been atheists in office by the way -

Abraham Lincoln
William Howard Taft
Thomas Jefferson
James Buchanan
Bill Clinton
Warren G. Harding

this question is aging....yet I shall answer it. i think of its undesirable this animosity in the direction of atheists - they are dissimilar the main clever ethical human beings i understand. would I vote for one in workplace? possibly, yet is the politics and ethics of the guy i opt to understand approximately. y do u ask so many atheist questions? r u really one or r u just curious , because it seems every question u ask is about athiesm. but no i would not vote for a strong athiest for president because i am a christian and i can not approve of somebody who does not belive in God. I would just be hurting myself by voting for you so no , im sorry i wouldnt vote for an athiest for president!

Of course I would. However, it's not likely any politician would ever admit to being an atheist since it's not politically practical.

Absolutely not.

Frankly, though, so many people don't follow God's laws so there are a lot of un-avowed atheists out there.
