Homeland Security. But in all fairness, if you research the backgound of its creation, an new department was not his original proposal. He proposed a new cabinet position was a small staff that would act as a liasion between the various intelligence agencies to improve communications and interdepartmental cooperation.
That plan was met with much dismay by the Dems in Congress, who were in control of the Senate at that time. They came up with the idea of a new all-encompassing department to take over the whole cabosh. Bush went along with that and approved the bill, hence, the Department of Homeland Security.

Dept of Homeland Security. What a rip off.
IF they had spent the same amount of money rounding up and deporting illegal aliens and securing our borders we might have something to show for it.
As it is the folks hired to screen passengers get bored to tears and in tests haven't done a good job of catching the testers who even tell them when they are coming.

These things are not reported, because as news stories, they would not sell the advertising surrounding the text. Pictures of car accidents, burnt buildings, and good looking or famous people sell advertising. The truth does not sell advertising. Sorry, our free press is free to slack off.
