So many posters on YA talk about the horrors of relationships and unfortunately scare those that are dating, engaged, or newly married into thinking that their relationship is headed for the “Couples Graveyard”. Tell how long you’ve been married, and give a wonderful memory (if you can).

My greatest memory: Landing at the airport on the return trip from our Honeymoon knowing that a new life was about to begin – been happy ever since.

Thank you for asking this question!

We're newlyweds - one month married. A little background: We're in our mid 30's and met online after getting out of bad relationships. Even though we grew up very differently from each other (different race and religion) from the moment we met we knew we found something special.

So far our best memory was when we were at a mineral spa resort in the Palm Desert. It was the middle of the night and we were the only ones still awake. So we spent most of the night floating in the pool, holding each other and not saying a word. It was incredible.

Been married 21 years this coming March.
I'd love to say it's all been a bowl of cherries. Really, some of the best growing I've done has come from the awfully uncomfortable stuff. So I'm grateful for that.

Wonderful memory:
I'd like to say it's a vacation or something... hmmm...
I'd say a great memory actually was this week. We've been doing a lot of support work with our oldest niece, helping her figure out how to effectively run her life. There was a huge triumph just a few days ago and it was really gratifying for my lady and me to share that victory.

Thank you for putting out this question. I'm really grateful for a chance to say "Yes!" to an important part of my life.

I applaud your celebration. I envy those couple who can make things work. The stories I see here are just that. Success stories of loving couples. Now ask them if they would have been together if marriage was forbidden and they were only permitted to live together. The answers and stories would be the same. Love makes a marriage, marriage cannot return the favor. Love is needed to make these stories. Legal documents are needed to start destructive fires.

While I've only been married for three months we've been together for over 3 years.

One of my best memories was walking down the aisle to him at the wedding. He had been nervous and shaking and generally looking like he was going to run away until I showed up. Then he visably relaxed, calmed down and smiled. It was awesome. Hehehe. During the ceremony we were writing little notes on one another hands. It was small and rushed, but all in all very sweet. I loved it and believe it will always be one of my best memories.

Happily married for over 20yrs. I remember
when my soon to be wife spent the night, before
our marriage in the Church, with her family, and I
was at church first and did not see her until she
was by my side before the ceremony as it was
custom for the man to be at the church doorstep
first and when I saw her beside me, as I could
not look behind as she was coming up the steps
of the church,I almost passed out as it appeared
there was an angel that came and stood next
to me because she was so beautiful in her
wedding dress.

Married almost two years now and we've grown closer to each other and God ever since. Even when there isnt overwhelming happiness..there's holiness.

To God be the Glory~
