I grew up listening to blue grass music. Some of my favorites are Bill Monroe, Ralgh Stanley, Ernest Tubb, and The Country Gentlemen. What are some of your favorites? What songs do you really love?

Jubal..I love The Country Gentlemen! It's nice to hear from another fan(most people I know have never heard of them). All of their songs are great, but my favorite is Legend Of The Rebel Soldier, it brings me to tears hearing it!

I'm a GREAT Country Gentlemen fan !!!! IMHO, some of the most accurate pickers in the business !!!

I have a "Complete Works" compilation by them.

Favorite songs:
"Footprints in the Snow"
"A Beautiful Life"
"Can't Help But Wonder (Where I'm Bound) "

I'm also a fan of Reckless Abandon in Denver. Great group !!

To toot my own horn, I took the opportunity to play back-up for Mr. E.T. in the late 60s and early 70s when he would come to Houston without his band. I was very honored.

The South Austin Jug Band. Saw them in Nashville a couple of years back, WAY fun!

"Coon ***" is a favorite...from their "Dark and Weary World" cd.
