I realize most men don't give a crap, and neither do I. That's why I only enjoy shopping for books, entertainment, and electronics. I could never understand why a woman would talk about fashion with a man who isn't nearly as interested in it as she is. Guys will talk to me about sports on occasion, and it might be boring, but I can get over that.

I personally can't stand going shopping. Buying shoes is especially bad. I don't get the shoe obsession either; I can handle swimsuit shopping better than shoe shopping. Maybe I'm just an odd duck.
I don't tend to waste my time talking about shopping to men because I know that they don't care. I only WISH men wouldn't talk to me about cars or sports. (Ha, for me it's the other way around!)
Oh, incidentally, I know a LOT of men who love shopping, but it isn't for the same things. Gadgets and home electronics. I can't get my bf out of Best Buy, lol. I just wait in the car now.

If MOST men ( I realize that not all of you are) weren't sooo superficial & obsessed with women's looks instead of their intelligence or character, then women wouldn't have to obsess over purchasing items (ie. clothing, shoes (you men love those high heels, don't you?), make-up, etc.) to maintain and/or enhance their appearance in order to attract men (or keep their man interested) or to get a leg up on the competition. As far as getting them on sale, doesn't everyone enjoy getting a good deal on something they've purchased?

Why do you feel the need to understand why women love a good sale and shoes? And a shoe sale is wonderful. Don't worry your pretty little head over the little things. Just sit there with your hand down your pants while your team pats each other on the tush. Don't forget to scratch your azz. I respond with ignorance due to the ignorant content of this question.

A. Your tone/attitude sucks.
B. You say you don't give a crap, but I'll bet when she's wearing the stilettos and the make-up you appreciate the effect they have on you.
C. If you are living together/sharing expenses, you probably also appreciate the fact that she got them on sale.
D. Women and men have different interests, but hey, it works out. While you watch football for 3 hours on the weekend, she is at the mall hunting bargains. Refer to B, above. Everybody's happy.

Reminds me of the wife of that Asian dictator guy. Somehow his wife was allowed into Brit and brought with her THOUSANDS of pairs of shoes.
I don't pretend to understand this thing women have about shoes but my wife and daughter have tons of shoes most of which they never wear!

I believe this is about 99% accurate.
A female tells another they like her shoes
Auto response:
She then kicks out her leg to show off the shoe and responds "thank you, I got them on sale".

Clothes are made for normal to thin people, but shoes and rings look good on everybody. As for shopping - I hate it, but I used to shop for recreation. I think they like to buy things because it makes people (the salespeople) happy, and the salespeople make them feel important. That feels good!.
