The boy next door showed me when we were around 6, at least that it felt good to be touched "down there". Didn't discover how to masturbate "in earnest" until 10 or 11, probably the very beginning of puberty.

Even then, I wasn't doing it "right" or at least the most efficient, pleasurable or rewarding way. Another friend had to show me how he did it, for which I'm forever grateful.

Nothing to do, just be sure she knows to do it in private. Kids can masturbate from birth, just as soon as they discover that it feels good. There's no drive behind it until they reach puberty, but it still feels good. At puberty their hormones lead them to the discovery. Before then it's either by accident or a playmate shows them. All normal and healthy.

....funny you should ask that...as I discovered it when taking a bath at 5 years old, trying to make more "bubbles" in my bubble bath...somehow doing this got close to you know what and the swishing of the water seemed to feel better and better each time I took a bath....until that was all I'd do and want to take a bath for...what about you cool dude? I thought I was the only one in the world doing it! I did not touch myself for ages~I did not need to in order to achieve a 'you know what'! It was through reading teenager magazines when i was about thirteen that I realised I was not alone and that most people do it.

I learned by accident, and what a great accident it was! As a teenager I wanted to know what it felt like to have sex, so I "simulated" sex by humping a pillow, and thought I had hurt myself, but it was my first orgasm. And I still enjoy masturbating to this day. :)

i think this is an individual thing, no one person can show another how to masturabate and reach orgasm as this is different for different people. Everyone teaches themselves, what turns them on, what feels best and what gets them going. experimenting is best, so enjoy x

Actually yes I found out my self.I had found out in the shower while washing my twinkie with shampoo.Then I had found out it was named something!Then I researched it and I had found out I was doing something that I wasn't the only one doing it.I lately have been lol.I found out in my late 10's.
