I'm going to second "squirrelled." What an awesome word.
The -ed ending is definitely swallowed in this case (in Midland American pronunciation anyway). It only constitutes an extra syllable in words that originally en in -t or -d (debated, decided).

I did cheat. Moonspot is right, although there are several 9-letter words such as screeched and scratched as well. I'm not entirely comfortable with "ed" being swallowed up; but if the AskOxford.com says it's OK, who am I to disagree?

Squirreled is a good one, but you can't double the l, making it 10 letters.
