It depends on what friends you have. If they are true friends, with a deep understanding of you and your soul, they will stay when you grow older and change.
The others will come and go, as weather can be fair or foul.

Yes.
They get married, have children, and move away.
Each of those things takes them away from me.
I try and keep them all but they do fade with age.
