Little Chic, it depends for what you are being trained. Sometimes a combination of hands on plus a visual are necessary and together they speed up the process,

both for the best results

in different cases either is better if just individual one is offered

example, to what is unfamiliar best to get hands on training

to that which is mind difficulty often seeing the visual will help the most for ground work (yet hands on would be very benificial too)
