i think you'd see a greater increase in body modification...tattoos..piercings and such, and those being used as both a way to assert their uniqueness and also to associate them with a certain family or a certain group, certain modifications (or possibly also clothing styles and patterns the more i think about it) would soon be discovered to be more "beautiful" than others in different groups and things would still eventually separate until we have somethin along the lines of what we have now lookin all different. (the wealthy would be able to afford the mods and the clothes that are considered more desireable, modifications that show a person as belonging to a certain family would probably be put on early in a child's life to identify them and therefore would not be able to be chosen, leading to same feuds and such as we have now)

There would be no beauty contests; plastic surgery would be unheard of; no racial problems because we would have nothing to compare. And for those who think it would be boring, how would you know if there is no yardstick?
