Can anybody tell me where I can find out when I can expect to be able to watch BLADE RUNNER, in the local cinema. I've checked all the related cinemas but no one seems to know what I'm talking about. I know it's a limited release but would love to see it before it's gone for good. Can anybody help me PLEASE!!!

Thanks for those answers, but I was hoping to see it on the big screen. I've got the new 5 disk collectors edition but never seen it at the cinema. Was hoping to see it in all it's glory.

As the poster stated above, they are going to be released in DVD. In many many version no less - some edition of the DVD even includes the theatrical verision, the International version, the first director's cut (1992), the final version and even the legendary workprint version.

The DVD are also available in the final version only (2 disc set), the 4 disc version (all of the above without the workprint version), and the 5 disc version. It is also gonna be available in HD DVD and Blu Ray. Really, what else can you ask? :D

The DVD/HD DVD/Blu Ray will be available December 18.

there are a LOT of differences between the 82 theatrical cut and the funal cut. I've seen at least 3 versions of Blade Runner and this one makes the most sense (even without the voice-over and happy ending). you haven't seen the movie unless you've seen the scenes with Holden in the hospital and the sarcophagus with the body of the real Tyrell (Yes, Tyrell is a Replicant as well!) and the scene that shows Deckards eyes reflecting, (proof he's a Replicant as well). The final cut adds lots more special effects and soundtrack, adds extra dialogue and different angles and extended scenes. It's a very good version of the movie but it's far from a definitive version.

Good luck my friend. Limited releases are typically Limited to large cities and even then you might be hard pressed to find a local theater that will be playing. Best bet might be just a search engine and the movie title and look for a website promoting the film.

They were releasing it on DVD, I just saw the ad for it. Ridley Scott decided to re-shoot some scenes and to "fix" things that got hacked up by the studio in the original release.
The directors cut a few years back was the first fix and apparently this one takes it even further.
