i was told by my friend's dad (from england) that real men know how to perpare a proper tea. being latino, i have never been accustom to drinking tea and when my friend and i get together he always orders tea (unless we're drinking beer/liquor). he always gets crap from other friends about ordering tea and not coffee. i know other countries are big on tea but i don't think americans are unless it's iced tea (but i could be wrong). so what do you think?

i'll drink tea whenever offered but it's usually not my first choice. i don't like all teas, some are really good but i guess i just don't get cravings for tea like some do.

Good tea is awesome.
It's next to impossible to get well-prepared tea in the US.

First, you don't use teabags. Teabags are packed with the dust leftover after the real tea has been collected. Use loose tea with an infuser. And it must be fresh.

Pour in boilING water. Not boilED water.

Add either milk or a drop of fresh lemon juice.

In my opinion it's best served with BAKLAVA!

During colonial times, America was big on tea. After the Boston tea party, America stopped drinking tea and instead replaced it with coffee.

The whole world drinks tea, I don't see why America can't rel-earn how to drink tea.

There's nothing wrong with tea. It helps fight cancer. I drink it whenever I can. So do my friends from other countries (Poland, Ireland, etc). I think there's room for both.

My family has a coffee plantation. I have no qualms with drinking tea. It's just a beverage.

My husband drank hot tea when I first met him.
I have never liked hot tea so he started drinking iced tea after we were married. I think he drinks iced tea because it is easier to get a glass of tea from the fridge rather than making hot tea. But he does know how to make hot tea.

Men in this country were drinking tea long before coffee became popular.

I drink various types of hot tea and have known many men that drink hot tea. It is a really silly notion to think that there is something "manly" or "feminine" about a food or drink.

real men do whatever the heck they want to do. we are not beholden to the status quo, peer pressure, or backwards social mores. real men are prepared to explore and experience life based on their own standards. this does not mean that we show a complete disregard for other humans, but that we do not succumb to the expectations of others at the expense of subverting our own identity.

no worries. drink tea like you're breathing it. while your at it, eat some quiche too. do it in front of anyone who questions you just to throw it in their faces. be a real man. be yourself...
