You hear of and read may conflicting stories on this subject!

Normally 'they' say 6-8 hours.

BUT...I once heard 4-6 hours was more natural, apparently its only the last 100 yrs or so that people have adapted this need for sleep, as our daily duties etc. now 'need' us to have more sleep!

ie we work long hours, play hard etc.

Some people just don't need that much sleep!

Margaret Thatcher UK Prime minister of the past survived on less than that and 'ran' a country

Yes it will, eventually. Some people are a bit more able to tolerate life with that little sleep than others, but it will weaken your immune system in time.

I've heard once that short hours of sleep can make you put on weight but i say as far as your body can handle it dont worry it will tell you when it needs more sleep.

It will sooner of later, it will really kick in, where you find you cant concentrate for longer and your immune system will also be affected so you are more likly to be ill! Id say DOUBLE the hours of sleep your getting!

You are lucky. I quite often have just 2 hours and I seem to get by ok. Now and then I will have a longer session when my body tells me that it needs it.
