For me, it's Social Distortion. I swear they could be my answer to every other question. I can find a way to work them into any situation. Maybe Gogol Bordello as well.

It's not a day on R&P if Sookie doesn't mention the Deftones.
Edit: Rckets - he better appreciate it! :)

As much as I'd love to answer this, I'll end up mentioning them yet again. And yes, you are the unofficial headmaster of the Gogol Bordello fan club. They are the coolest bunch of gypsies I've seen recently.

Master C - Yeah, I know what you mean, lol.
MachPen - I would have penciled you down for Radiohead and Murder City Devils.
Sookie - Chino appreciates your support as well as my journey.

I think at this point almost everyone here knows I've got a thing for Pink Floyd and Porcupine Tree. I mention them in every other question and answer.

Guns N' Roses
The way I blab about them, you would think they needed the publicty. But I do love them, lol.
I also seem to mention Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin quite often, but its not my fault people ask so many questions where they could be used as an example! :)

Sorry, I'm awful about this, but I reference Pavement, Stephen Malkmus and Elliott Smith a ton on here. Probably the Beatles too. My only excuse is I'm an awful schill.

Probably more than a few... but when examples come to mind, you gotta go with what you know best.
NP: "Whiskey Bent and Hell Bound" - Hank Williams Jr.
*** That was fun... and I actually got some "best answers" out of that stuff. I honestly expected to get suspended.
