I loved the final fantasy's plots.

I also agree that Final Fantasy games have wonderful plots. Here are a few more games with a great story, I'll mark what genre each game is in parentheses.
Dragon Quest VIII (turn-based RPG)
God of War 1 & 2 (action)
Star Ocean - Till the End of Time (action RPG)
Dark Cloud 2 (action RPG)
Rogue Galaxy (action RPG)
Shadow of the Colossus (action/adventure, and the story is a bit slow moving at times, but the ending is great)
All of the above games are for the PS2.

In terms of games having the best plots, the Metal Gear Solid series, and God of War series wins over any game ever made.
But I also agree that the Final Fantasy games have a good plot too. Out of all of the Final Fantasy games ever released, they have all sold over 170 million games worldwide, so there has to be something awesome about Final Fantasy.

If your looking for enthralling gameplay and well thought out plot lines you cannot go wrong with Final Fantasy. Otherwise I would recommend trying out Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic for XBox very similar to FF but with a Star Wars theme

In my opinion the video game company Square Enix is making many great games which has good plot.
For instance Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Valkyrie Profile, Dragon Quest and so on.

The Final Fantasies have the best plots ever. I think that the Starcraft plot is very good.
The best one I have come across is Baldurs Gate.

All I can think of are Legend of Zelda, Bioshock, Kingdom Hearts, and that lawyer game for the DS!

I think that Mafia is a great game. It plays out like you are watching a movie as you play.

good games and good plots rarley come together m.g.s was allright but bladerunner on pc years ago was good
