handeran-That's the one. What all you said plus the fact that Kalid Sheik Mohammed is a client of his & they have done lots of business together. He even visited them in Qatar. They partied together. I hope he gets the Republican nomination because he will be shredded in the General Election. Too much baggage.

Even if Giuliani did oppose "gun ownship," I think that we all need to remember that even though our country now operates under a 2-party system, it is rare for a democrat or a republican to agree with every party issue. And because right now gun control/ownership is absolutly not as significant an issue as health care, war, social security, et cetra, any crossing of the party line by a political canidate should be viewed as normalacy.

Giulliani does not oppose gun ownership. When he became Mayor of New York City, the gun control laws were already in effect. He simply enforced existing law, as he was supposed to do. He never expanded the gun control laws. And I've seen no evidence to contradict this fact, only questions based on unfounded rumors.

Vote for Rudy!

How come the concept of State's rights suddenly disappears when conservatives talk about gun ownership? I think it's the State's right to decide what it feels is appropriate for citizens in its bounderies with regard to gun ownership and licensing.
That's what the "well regulated" part is about in the 2nd ammendment (that part also always gets left out by gun proponents).

Lettie you should look at Guiliani's position on gun control. He upholds the right of the 2nd amendment. Its on his web site.
=======This is a hack job on Rudy===========
========Here is a cut and paste from Rudy's web site===
==============================================
Rudy Giuliani is a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. He understands that every law-abiding American has an individual right to keep and bear arms that is guaranteed by the Constitution. To deal with a city where crime was out of control, Mayor Giuliani worked to get guns out of the hands of criminals — resulting in a 66% drop in the murder rate and 72% reduction in criminal related shootings. The best way to deal with gun crime is to prosecute the criminals and enforce the laws already on the books. Rudy Giuliani will make sure that if someone commits a crime with a gun, they will go to prison for the mandatory sentence.
