Because he got 3 Questions in the youtube debate.
1st was are you a lunatic
2nd was you aren't going to win, but will you run as independant anyway
I forgot the third one, but you get the idea.
Almost 0 time in the debates and little news coverage is why he isn't known to many.

Unfortunately, the media isn't giving him equal media time so that is why lots of people don't know him because they only watch the main stream media. Most of his supporters have to go out on the street to support him or they have to show him on the you tube videos. Part of it is most people just don't want to take the time to research all the candidates. I think that is the sad part. Too many people are falling prey to apathy of not paying any attention to any of the candidates.

Because he is a fringe candidate, whose only following consists of his rabid fanatics on Y! Answers and YourTube. He isn't reported in the media because the media has a habit of ignoring candidates who have no chance of winning anything whatsoever. Tom Trancadero or whatever is also not being featured in the news for the same reason and Ron Paul's idiot supporters are complaining about the "media conspiracy" against him.
I think he has a better chance of winning if his zombie supporters stop publicizing him because their tactics and immature behaviour make him look really bad. I probably might have voted for him if his people showed some intelligence, now I plan on voting against him just to spite his fans.

Anyone in America who doesn't know who Ron Paul is just hasn't been paying attention.
For those in other countries, I guess they may not know if their media is not covering him in his Presidential bid.

Because most people don't have the time to learn the name of every lunatic who is running for President. Only serious candidates get recognition. I'm sure Mike Gravel is afforded no greater recognition than Ron Paul...

I think a lot of people DO know who Ron Paul is. They just don't agree with him.
Don't equate lack of support with lack of knowledge!
