Call of Duty 4 Strategy?

Question

I get killed like crazy online playing COD4. I like the everyone for themselves feature. Can anyone offer me any tips on how to roam around looking for people to take out? I keep getting killed from behind, I keep wondering how do they find me so easy, and everytime they find me they keep killing me from behind. How are they getting so close and knifing me to death without me seeing them coming, yet I cant do the samething. How do you knife someone anyways? I pressed all the button with no joy. I'm tired of coming in last, so can some one help? my name is cisco96kid on PS3 by the way.

how do you win? is it by the number of kills, or is it a combination of kills, and the amount of times you get killed yourself? I tried camping a little bit, but it gets boring, and also you dont kill that many people. I see the winners have 20+ kills, so that led me to believe that you needed to be agressive and seek out people, but I really started dying when I did that.

Also, I find it that when I do see someone, and they see me also. I am the one who dies. I find it hard to aim before I shoot because I get killed before I find my target, but if I dont aim, and just start blastin, I hit everything except him.

Do your best to keep your back close to a wall or something similar. If they can't get to your back they have come to your front and you'll see them. Constantly be looking all around you. Don't stare in one direction for a long time.

I hate to say this because I don't like when people do it, but try camping. Sit in a nice protected spot and take people out when you see them. It seems like you have to be good at camping, in order to be good at this game.

And click your right thumb stick to knife people.

Click the right stick to knife also get some practice in team always look at your radar as well.
