Because we simply can't tell sometimes the extend of the unhappiness you are going through. Usually men react when something totally unexpected happens. For me? It took my wife of 7 years to, without a single hint or sign, left me. I came home to a tiny note that said "Can't live with you a single more day",,,,Then I realized the situation was worse than I thought. The story ended well. She came back and after many changes we have an awesome realtionship now.But it took a lot of work. Men don't neccesary read things the way ladies do. Sometimes when it's too late is when we are face with things we should have been paying more close attention too....good question.

I would venture to say that men, in general, don't have a clue as to what "acting right is". Therfore, men typically waffle around, pushing the envelope, waiting for someone to tell them what is right. Guy's seem to go through life virually rolling the dice with every move, waiting on the next moment and the results thereof, to guide them in a particular direction. Of course, I could be wrong!

The problem with a lot of women is that they think that they go into a relationship knowing that the guy drives her insane and that they think that they can actually change the guy. The guy should always be himself, as should the woman. If being yourself drives the other insane, why are you together in the first place?

awesome question... I'm a guy and I'm in the opposite position. I'm getting fed up with my girlfriend and we're having a serious talk tonight about her behavior. It's nothing extreme, but she has these crazy mood swings and she gives me this ridiculous attitude problem. And no it's not because of her period!!!! It happens more than once a month!
Anyway, I think this is not relegated to one sex. Both men and women have this problem. People don't learn well when it comes to behavior. Think about it, when you were a kid how did you learn best? Not because mom and dad said so, but because they punished me if I didn't learn.
Some people haven't fully grown out of that.

The only language men understand is - no communication. Any nagging, mothering etc. closes them down. When we respond by being unavailable ( when you are about ready to leave) they quickly notice. Men are not taught much with words. They love the chase and when they think they don't have you or are losing you a shift occurs.
Men should never think they totally have a woman...stay a mystery.

I think it is likely because so many women put up with too much crap before they act and do something about it.
What's the saying?....." the only people who can treat you badly are the ones that YOU allow to treat you badly."
?? Not sure if that is how the saying goes, but you get my point. I think you should ask yourself,
"why am I tolerating his bad behavior" what are the reasons you are staying with someone like this?
If you give someone the very best of you, then the least you should expect of him, is the very best.
If he is not measuring up and treats you badly, then adios amigo! You deserve as good as you give!

Men don't do that. Little boys trapped in a men's body do that. A real man treats his wife or girlfriend with respect and they don't wait until she's fed up to try to change his behavior.

Why do women pick men that do know how to act right in the first place?? Why do women give them so many chances??
Sometimes i think we like the drama of it!! We also wanna feel needed and feel like we can help someone change for the better!

Because women "VENT" and tell us they just need to "VENT" all the time.
Think about it, you come to me and complain that something is happening so I give you an answer on how to fix the problem, but then you get mad and me and say you don't want me to fix it. You just wanted to vent.
After a while I will be trained by you to NOT DO ANYTHING, BUT LISTEN.
So naturally I will wait until its clearly obvious I need to do something because I don't want you yelling at me for fixing something you don't want me to fix.
Your confused? Think about us poor men that have to deal with you women.

because they dont know what they have got until its gone or in jepordy of leaving.... but dont let one of these men fool you ... they will act right for a while but then they will fall back into their old ways all over again
